Now Reliance Jio has taken a step and has reportedly blocked some of the websites on its network. The telecom operator blocked the websites after the order from DoT. The company has not released any official statement about the same but some the Reliance Jio users reported on Reddit that they are not able to access websites with adult content on the Jio network.

A Reliance Jio user posted on Reddit, “I’ve been trying to load a few of the adult sites but none of them seems to load on the Jio network. Is it just me or are you people facing the same issues.” Some users also said that the company has banned the popular websites but some lesser known ones are still accessible on the Jio network.

We also tried accessing some of the adult websites on the Jio network but were not able to do so. It is not showing any error message but the web page is also not loading.

A similar order was also issued in the July 2015, when Meity asked DoT to block 857 websites with adult content. The DoT then changed its order on August 4, 2015, which said that the internet service providers are free not to disable any of the 857 web links which do not have child pornographic content.
